Setting up scaffolding is a tedious job because it needs to be done right, and even then there is unforeseen risks. The cost of home repair projects that require building with a scaffold can range from 4-11k, depending on the scope of the work, with sometimes 20% of that pricing to build out the scaffold alone. 

Projects that require a scaffold vs. a ladder are much bigger and broader than being able to shoot up a tall ladder up to the top of a house, which might be done to change a light bulb or paint an area, but where there is significant construction involved, a scaffold might be used.
